   The Boat;

   Advice to those
   Yearning for swim
   Beware the undertow
   Buoyancy aid nil
   Horizons don’t exist
   Just surface bait
   Realise too late
   More you wriggle
   More you attract
   Food and fodder
   The grinding wheels
   Put aside truth
   Put aside honour
   Put aside belief
   Then step aside
   Rise and take
   A deep breath
   Tick and tock
   Breath to breath
   To finally sink
   And waste away
   Never no never
   Get out of the
   BOAT.
   Unless you’re going all the way.
