Say , never say nay, down at its base , holding it up to my face , admiring its perfection , grey in a section, black tapered tip, if you had ink you would dip , then write it down on parchment paper, how a feather lead you into this caper , no longer of use I suppose, using it to scratch my nose, I then make a wish, that I had such things to enable me to fly , but like icarus I would fly too high , as I did, melted plummery causes you to fall , hurting all over , fields of clover, then stop and laugh up your sleeve, unending dreams is what I believe, so I put it in my cap for luck , you never know, off for a coffee I go , thoughts still focused on the feather, flying over the violet fields of heather.
